Women of Inframark – Jennifer Jordan
As Community Manager Supervisor in Inframark’s Central Floria region, Jennifer Jordan is a “master juggler” and mentor – and she loves it! “Managing a community is a lot like running a business – you have to be knowledgeable and experienced across a range of various industry skills and you have to be able to work diplomatically with both vendors and association stakeholders. Our Community Management team provides the expertise and resources for homeowner volunteer boards to successfully manage their associations. To provide a true partnership with guidance on everything from processes and governing documents, legal state statutes, Governance in meetings, and financial aspects such as auditing, insurance, and budgeting, to vendor RFPs and creating relationships with boards, homeowners and vendors, as well as serving as the face of our company.”
Before being promoted to her current role earlier this year, Jennifer joined Inframark in 2022, as a Portfolio Manager, managing multiple communities. When she came to Inframark, Jennifer already had several years of industry experience under her belt and multiple designations such as the LCAM (Licensed Community Association Manager), CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations), and AMS (Association Management Specialist). Since joining our team, Jennifer explains, “I love Inframark! I have worked with other organizations that had more of a ‘sink or swim’ culture. Here, it’s all about support. When I was interviewing to join Inframark, I remember my boss and mentor, Katie Ivanics, describing the family feel and support, and immediately from day 1, I felt it. I see it all the time where our departments are working together to provide needed support and resolutions, even when it’s not their department. That speaks volumes to me! Being a team player and lifting each other up daily. That is the essence of Inframark!”
“I have been fortunate because being at Inframark has helped to show me my value and I truly feel valued here.” In managing her team, it’s important to Jennifer to deliver that same supportive experience. “I want to make sure that our managers know they are not alone and that we are all in this together,” she says. “I want my team be successful. I’ll have them shadow me on the job to observe how I manage things and if they need me to join them on something that they feel unsure about, I’m there for them. My goal is to help them grow and feel confident in eventually handling things on their own. I also encourage them to network and to take advantage of industry events where they can continue to learn and grow in this ever-changing industry.”
When she is not working, Jennifer loves dancing Salsa and Bachata, and enjoys painting with oils and acrylics (she used to do commissioned work). Her most important pastime is spending quality time with family and friends. “It’s important to make time for work-life balance. We work hard, so you have to find time for some fun and remember to live in the moment.”
