City of Mountain House Wins the APWA’s 2025 Project of the Year
Congratulations to the City of Mountain House, California, for winning the American Public Works Association’s 2025 Project of the Year! The City won the award in the APWA’s Environment Category, Population Under 75,000, $50 to $100 Million Construction Value for the Phase 3 Mountain House Water Reclamation Facility Expansion.
The $50-million, multi-year Phase 3 improvements to the wastewater treatment plant included influent pumping, forcemain, headworks, multiple buildings, membrane bioreactor (MBR) system, sludge storage tanks, blowers, energy-efficient aeration and low-energy misers, sludge handling, ultraviolet disinfection, recycled water pumping and storage, new administration building, changes to electrical and new electrical systems, new and modified controls, and an underground treatment plant.
